Loughborough is a large town in the East Midlands of England. It is located within 20-minutes travel time of the three famous cities of Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. It is a pleasant market town surrounded by the Soar Valley and Charnwood Forest's beautiful hills. The town is well served by major road and rail routes and there are many green areas and parks with a mix of modern and Victorian buildings. Loughborough is 160 km north west of London and has a train station with direct trains to the tourist destinations of Birmingham and Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest (25 minutes travel time). The town centre is an attractive leisure and entertainment destination.
The PLUS Centre is located at Loughborough University, one of the biggest single-site campuses in the UK. The campus resembles a small village and is famous for its world-class teaching, living and especially its sporting facilities including an Olympic size swimming pool. It provides plenty of open spaces, gardens and sports areas mixed with academic buildings and student accommodation. This is a self-contained university environment with on-site restaurants and shops. The university offers students secure living and learning. The town is only 15 minutes walk from the campus and can also be easily accessed by bus.
The center is advisable for young learners aged 12 to 17.
On-campus accommodation is in single ensuite bedrooms.
